Why unauthorised parking becomes a problem

On unmonitored sites, on average one vehicle in four is parked there without being entitled to. Anyone who arrives at a full car park drives to a competitor — retailers reckon with €40 lost per occupied space per day.

On private car parks

  • Problem: Residents, commuters and long-stay drivers take up the spaces.
  • Problem: Accessible bays are blocked by drivers without a permit.
  • Problem: The people you want to come find nowhere to park.
  • Problem: Parking discs and maximum stay limits are ignored.
  • Problem: A patrol shows one moment, never the length of stay — and it ties up staff.
  • Problem: Complaints from customers, visitors, tenants and staff land on your desk.

With Securepark24

  • Solved: The site is available again to the people it was meant for.
  • Solved: Accessible bays are monitored as a rule of their own.
  • Solved: Every stay is documented with its number plate and timestamp.
  • Solved: Your rules are checked automatically for every vehicle, day and night.
  • Solved: Authorised plates are on file and recognised.
  • Solved: Barriers, tickets and pay machines become unnecessary — along with buying them.

45 per cent of businesses report more passing trade after improving their parking management, with revenue increases of up to 10 per cent.

Which sites

Which sites parking enforcement suits

Anywhere spaces are regularly used by people who are not entitled to them, or where parking rules have to be kept. Typically 10 to 500 spaces and more.

  • Supermarkets and retail

The customer car park fills with residents and commuters, and accessible bays are taken without a permit.

  • Residential blocks and property managers

The allocated space is occupied, and the complaints land with the management.

  • Doctors, pharmacies and clinics

Patients need a space near the entrance, and emergency routes must stay clear.

  • Restaurants and hotels

Guests should park right outside, particularly in city-centre locations.

  • Gyms and leisure facilities

At peak times the spaces hold vehicles that belong to no member.

  • Banks

Customer and staff spaces should stay separate and stay available.

  • Companies and office sites

Visitor and delivery areas are used by other people.

  • Business parks and large sites

The site is too large to keep an eye on it on foot.

  • Schools and colleges

Teachers, staff and visitors find nowhere to park because outsiders use the site as well.

How it works

How parking enforcement with Securepark24 works

Capture runs automatically, with no staff on site and no barrier in the way.

Clear signage, no annoyed customers.

Clear signs at the entrance make the parking rules immediately understandable for customers, guests and staff.

Four steps to a monitored site

From enquiry to launch usually takes four to six weeks. Smaller sites are often quicker.

  1. A first conversation, no strings

We work out how your site is used, what you want to achieve and whether enforcement makes sense there.

  2. Site visit and concept

On site we record the entrances, the spaces and the special cases. From that come your parking rules and the arrangements for staff and guests.

  3. Installation and signage

Signs and cameras are fitted and the parking rules are set up in the system. Where there is no mains supply, the cameras run on solar power.

  4. Launch and support

Capture starts on the agreed date. You receive reports, and the rules can be sharpened at any time.

Cost

If you want it

Paid parking for private and commercial sites

If you want drivers to pay to park on your site, we extend the solution to cover billing. The spaces are then not only kept free, they also earn money.

Capture stays camera-based, every stay is documented, and we follow up violations exactly as we do with enforcement alone. What makes sense for your site is something we settle in the first conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What about staff, suppliers or particular guests?

Their plates go on file once, and from then on the system recognises them as authorised. Guests can be cleared by QR code or through a digital guest list. You maintain the lists yourself and can change them at any time.

Will this put my customers off?

No. We set the parking rules together with you, the way you want them for your site. If a maximum stay applies, for instance, plates and times are documented automatically. The rules bite on outsiders and long-stay drivers, not on customers who simply shop or eat with you. Those customers tend to be pleased, because they find a free space right outside the door.

How are parking violations handled?

Where the signposted conditions have been breached, Securepark24 traces the keeper and sends the payment notice. Queries and all further correspondence run through us — you stay out of it.

How does parking enforcement work on my car park?

Cameras are installed at the entrances and capture every plate on arrival and departure. Each stay is checked automatically against your parking rules: maximum stay, authorised plates, special areas. For individual bays, such as reserved tenant spaces, capture per bay is also possible.

Can parking charges be collected as well?

Yes, optionally. If you want drivers to pay to park on your site, we extend enforcement to cover payment — the classic pay machine, or no machine at all and a QR code on the phone. What suits your site is something we discuss in the first conversation.

What does parking enforcement cost?

As the operator you pay neither for the equipment nor for running it. Securepark24 covers the technology, the installation, the signage, operation, maintenance and every case.

How reliable is the camera at night, in rain or in snow?

The cameras are built for outdoor use and work around the clock in any weather. Where a plate cannot be read in an individual case — because it is covered in snow or heavily soiled — the stay is not pursued. In case of doubt, no case arises.

Do I have to patrol myself or look after the technology?

No. Monitoring runs automatically through the cameras. Securepark24 covers operation, maintenance and every case. All you maintain, if you want to, is the list of authorised plates — and you receive regular reports.

Does number plate capture comply with data protection law?

It is implemented in line with the GDPR — with unambiguous signage, clearly defined purposes and lawful deletion periods. What is captured is still images with the plate and a timestamp, not video. Stays that comply with the parking rules are deleted.

What happens if a driver appeals?

Securepark24 handles the appeal in full. Every case is documented with a still image, the plate and a timestamp, and the appeal is examined against that. If it is justified — because the vehicle was cleared, for example — the case is dropped. None of this costs you any effort.

Do I need a barrier or a pay machine?

No. The solution works without barriers and without tickets, and your site stays physically unchanged. Where there is no mains supply, the cameras run on solar power.

I only rent the site — does that work too?

Yes. We then obtain the owner's consent together, and Securepark24 supports you through that conversation.

How long does it take to go live?

Usually four to six weeks from the enquiry to the start of enforcement. In between come the site visit, the concept, the signage and the installation. Smaller sites are often quicker.
